Castles are Like Potato Chips: You Can Never Have Just One!

Scotland was made for me.  I have fallen in love with castles and the stories behind them.  The castles in Scotland are largely fortified family homes that have been lived in for centuries.  The layers of history are fascinating and each Castle has its own character even if they share similar architecture on the outside.  I toured both Crathes Castle and Castle Fraser the are not too far away from each other, but they both had different stories and settings.  Crathes Castle had a great interior with interesting painted ceilings and grand gardens, Castle Fraser was more of a family story with more recent interiors(1700s and 1800s).  It was really fun to go all of the way up the tower!  It was another beautiful Scottish day!
